Subject: Data Scientist Intern at CRC


California Resource Corporation (CRC) has a paid Data Science internship available for Summer 2018. They
are looking for upper-division students majoring in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics who have
knowledge of programming in Python or R and have experience in data processing. Experience with SQL is also
preferred. See the attached CRC flyer for more information about CRC internships.

 

This internship is posted on the CSUB Handshake website and applications are being accepted through
Handshake. Applications will close on March 25th at 12:00pm. Applications require an approved resume
uploaded to Handshake, so students new to Handshake should not wait until the last minute to apply.

 

CRC will be at the CSUB Career Expo on Wednesday March 21st from 10:00am to 2:00pm in the SRC Gym (see
attached Career Expo flyer). If students have any questions about this internship, they can ask CRC at the
Career Expo.

 

Here are the instructions for using Handshake for this internship:

-To apply for this, students will need to apply through Handshake with a resume. They login at
https://csub.joinhandshake.com/ with the same credentials they use to login to MyCSUB.

-Go to the Jobs tab and search for ?CRC? in the Keyword search field

-Once they find the Data Scientist Intern position, they can apply by hitting the green ?Apply?. Please
note, the only way that they can fully apply is if they have an approved resume on the Handshake System.

-To upload resumes for review, students will click on their name in the upper right hand side of the screen
and select ?Documents? in the drop down menu.
