Dear faculty, students and alumni,

You are cordially invited to attend a seminar presented by

Dr. Brad Chun-Ting Liu
Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, Pacific

Date: Friday, March 3
Location: SCI III Room 311
Time: 1:00PM

Abstract

Life Beyond College: Should I continue to graduate school to obtain a Master or a Ph.D. or should I go straight into the industry to work before continuing to graduate school? If I do choose graduate school, what are the things to watch out for that are often not discussed in a public setting? What are some of the differences and outcomes between level of educational degrees? How to obtain information and survive the system? What does typical a Ph.D. student have to go through and what is expected of the student? In this talk, the author answers these questions from his own personal experience from both education and working in the public sector as a federal employee in a government research lab down in San Diego. In addition, the author shares what he believes the more important things to consider in life, which is rarely discussed in schools.

Thanks,

Albert C. Cruz, Ph.D.
